Matt Lawson is one of Australia’s most awarded creatives. His first television commercial, the Telstra ‘Rabbits’ ad has been voted Australia’s favourite ad and is ranked No. 2 in Campaign Brief's 'Ads of the Decade'. Since then, he has gone on to create innovative and multi-awarded campaigns such as, ‘Mobile Medic’, which was recently featured in Simon Veksner’s new book 100 Ideas That Changed Advertising, and Pedigree K9FM, which won New Zealand’s first and only Black Pencil at D&AD. Most recently, he has been awarded for his invention of Brewtroleum, a biofuel made from beer waste. This created an interesting campaign, a new revenue stream for the client, and a way for us all to drink beer and save the planet. He ardently believes that we can invent our way out of any problem. Matt is the Executive Creative Director at McCann - Melbourne.
